Does look a bit cluttered with lots of Aircraft with no labels.

To be honest, I tend to use the 2D view to get an overview, and switch to the 3D view to follow specific aircraft.  Although I'm sure everyone will have different ways of making best use of the 2D and 3D views in split screen.

seems a bit expensive for something you can see for free with squawkbox (google earth views)! You dont get the 3d models of the planes, but heck, save your money, this is highway robbery. For the amount we paid for our units, the upgrade should be free, or at least less than $50USD.

SquawkBox even has GE Cockpit Views!! Check it out before you waste your hard earned money!

Squawkbox is very good, but it doesn't have the same integration as the RB 3D interface.  It's not just about watching traffic in 3D, it's the whole 'experience' of being able to manipulate the displays.

Do try Squawkbox as Andy has done a really good job - and it does give you an idea of just what RB 3d can do!

help ! i ordered, and payed for RB 3D, but all i get is a mail that says i did so : no download link or serial number what so ever.
then downloaded version 4.03 via this link : http://www.airnavsystems.com/download/anrb/403/ANRB403Setup.exe
installed the file, and then, when i run the new exe, i briefly see the 3d interface, and then i'm asked if i want to upgrade to 3D, .... yeah well, that's just what i did.
ok, probably just something i did wrong, but please tell me what, and how do i fix it ??????

The 3D activation is done at the AirNav server based on your account details.  I guess that it hasn't been activated yet.

There is no new serial number needed.

Correcting Allocator: when you upgrade to the 3D network you need to specify your serial number. It will then activate 3D on your central account. Send us an email to [email protected] with your box serial number and order id and we will activate it manually. The 3D activation has nothing to do with the network account.

hi.
So i would have to order,
Real-time network access cost is of: 59.95 EUR each 6 months
3D upgrade costs: 89.95 GBP one time fee
total say 156 Eur plus the 60 eur i payed for delayed network,
that means i would have payed in one month say 210 Eur to get 3d live.
think i stick with what i have got.

You can get 3D with delayed network for 89.95 GBP.
Send us an email to [email protected] if you want to also upgrade your delayed to real-time network.

Oh wow, just OH WOW!

Me being me, I like to check these things out before I sell them to my customers so I have just installed it to my demo RadarBox here in the shop.

Once I have finished playing with the new 3D software I am going to get the biggest screen I can find to display this in the shop.

But if you want to see it working on my piddly little 19" monitor, then feel free to come down and have a look!
Best wishes

This will be a 2 part message to accommodate the file size limitation.

3D is not yet working for me.  Attached are screenshots of the logon screen which shows the 3D option in the upper left title bar.  Once I select start, the 3D option goes away.  Other than that Version 4.03 seems to work.  I have not tried all of the features yet.  And, my account is current.
