We have the final ShipTrax Hardware Box Layout finished!
We believe it looks great. The firmware is about to be finished.

Should look nice sitting next to my Radarbox.  Is it the same size as a Radarbox?

Hi,

It really is very cool, and has ethernet port thing that was needed in RB.
Hope you have success in this area too.

Best Regards

Airnav, any update on when this will available to buy?  I'm so close to actually buying a Comar AIS-2-USB receiver (£177+vat), but would prefer to buy the Airnav unit if the price is competitive and it's going to be available soon.

One important important question - Does the ShipTrax hardware received/decode ALL AIS message types, including Class B and SAR aircraft?

The ShipTrax receiver does decode all AIS messages. Our price will be extremely competitive and the Comar doesn't come with software...our software is very similar to what RadarBox is for aviation so you wouldn't find something similar anywhere.

Thanks Airnav.  Yes, I know how great the ShipTrax software is looking - we just need an AIS receiver to properly beta test ;)

I've been putting off buying an AIS receiver for what seems like years now, in the hope that the Airnav unit will have a competitive price.

There is various software for AIS from free till abt. 100 euro, but okay, agree, not in one package. You can use dedicated AIS receivers or a scanner with discriminator output.

Btw, in a previous post in this forum was mentioned that AN Shiptrax cant cope with Inland Ais messages; post is deleted.
So now including ALL messages, a nice update.

This must be based on famous Chinese Smart Radio SR series, reckon.

That wouldn't be bad at all for the "one package buyers"!

Out hardware is brand new, developed at AirNav Systems and not based on any existing package.
