Network problems with RadarBox 3.13
« on: December 15, 2009, 08:25:01 AM »
Hi AirNav Systems support and all other,

I'm a new user of AirNav Systems RadarBox.
I have a few problems with the RadarBox software.

The first and most annoying is a network problems. The software stops downloading network filght datas, and it can't upload ScreenShots to an FTP server, after a few hours of use (about 6-7 hours). After restarting the program it works again. All the time, the computer can be access from other computer on the domain network. The FTP server is also a domain member. We don't have internet related problems. I share RadarBoxScreenShot -n on a local intranet site with collegues.

I already tried to restart the program every day once with a batch script. But the program also had the problem described above.

The second. There are flight in MyFlights list with FlightID begins with TXLU... or no FlightID. These rows don't have any other datas. I attached a screenshot of them.

Our company is a Ground Handler. We use RadarBox to check how far our flight are from the Airport. So it's a quite critical problem for us.

Thanks your help!

PC Config
Type: HP DC5100
CPU: Celeron D 2,66Ghz
RAM: 1Gb DDR2
OS: Windows XP SP3 Hungarian in a Domain
Software version: RadarBox 3.13

Hi Mynet,

Firstly we remember seeing TXLU.. before and these were vechicles are airports, they were not aircraft. If you give us the Mode-S of them we can check that.

The network issue your having is strange, you mention "the computer can be access from other computer on the domain network" but can it access the internet.

When it stops uploading, do you get any error messages shown in the status bar?

Dear AirNav Support,

474801 TXLU 0
474802
474808 TXLU 1

It shows FTP .... disconnected. All the time. On Network tab shows (0).
Next I get these messages, I'll share with you.

Is there any log, I can check or post to you?

Don't know if this is a problem within 3.13, but after 5-6 hrs of running this morning my ftp upload has stopped working. I use gofreeserve, which is normally ok. This maybe a problem with gofreeserve.

Could Chris (tarbat) or Gary (Allocator) check there ftp uploads to see if they have a problem too.

Cheers

Andy

Edit - Sorry Airnav posted this one in the wrong place.

Edit - After 1 hr of not working, suddenly started to working again, must have been a problem gofreeserve end.

Cheers

Andy

Dear AirNav Support,

After a few days playing with that workstation. I moved Radarbox to another workstation.

I have no more problems till that.

So it was OS related.

Thx your help!

ps.: Do you know any information about why I can't click on the menu from a few minutes after the program start? I meet with this on every installation.
