Bit of confusion here.

JA784A is a B777-3 already airbourne.  Hex code 8691AA refers to ANA 777 as per airframes.org.

N787EX is reg of B787.

Can anyone shed any light on this

Cheers

Phil

Well, I looked out the window, but they turned south too soon and I don't think high enough to leave a contrail.

There was some confusion created because a 777 test flight took off 20 minutes ahead of the 787 from Paine field - using radio call Boeing 001 and headed out over eastern Washington.  The ADS-B designator is/was JA784A, a 777-3.  The actual 787 took off from Paine field at 1710Z using radio call "Boeing 002" but is designated "001" on RB tracking.
