Hey All,

Just tracking a flight on the network departing out of Gatwick (arround 0100ish) and climed to FL79 now decending into EGVN.

Any idea what the short flight is about?

Probably a B767 positioning for the flight to Ascencion - Wideawake Airfield (GSM8510) under contract to the MoD.

EDIT - just watching it leave Brize Norton for Ascencion right now.(G-CEFG - B763)

Rod is right, generally any flight numbers which end in P are positioning and so have no passsengers on board.

It's a Globespan aircraft. They are regularly involved in troop flights especially at this time of the year when their aircraft aren't used as much on flights to the Med, etc.
