North East Pennsylvania USA
« on: December 26, 2007, 06:59:19 PM »
Santa brought me my new toy a couple of days earlier, so I have been able to play a bit with my new Radar Box. I am located in the North East part of the state of Pennsylvania in the US. Right now, I am experimenting with the reception I get with the antenna on my desk.

Good to meet you all,

Al

Thanks for the welcome. It is indeed a real nice thing!

Hopefully the user base in the US will increase recently. One of the leading radio hobby magazines did a couple of months ago an article on this unit, getting very good reviews. So maybe that will help with the users here in the US.

What we need are some outside antennae and preamps to get some coverage the supplied antenna is OK on a car but not on a desk.

Happy Holidays

Hey albln,

I am also from Northeast PA (Scranton).  I was wondering how your radar box works in our neck of the woods?  Do you receive a good number of planes?  Let me know, because I'm thinking of getting one in the next couple of days.

Hi Guys

Its good to see some new members in the U.S.

I'm based in Dublin- Ireland and have just moved my antennae again, I'm getting some great range on it.

Attached a polar diagram of the reception, I'm getting here.

Best regards

Well done Dub33 - I've noticed the increased network coverage around Dublin!

Cheers Allocator,

I'm waiting for this new antennae kit, which has been promised by AirNav a couple of weeks ago.

I intend putting it a little higher up on the roof with the "Sky satelite" dish after that is installed, so should be beter again.

Regards
