Airnav Box - receiving data
« on: December 26, 2007, 05:58:28 PM »
Hello everyone, especially those who run their own AirNav boxes :)

A short question, is there any chance to communicate with the device via USB Serial port ?
Im having now AirNav Box installed and working through this port which installed a COM 14.

Is there any chance to read the data via this com?

I work with linux boxes mainly, so this is why i question.

Sorry but thats not possible. RadarBox 2007 will be looking for a USB connection only to RadarBox also there may be issues in powering the RadarBox.

Thank you, but it is working okay on the Wine emulation so this is why i ask.
I have it running and powered up with no problem, the question is wether there is any protocol described or any paper that would allow Linux users to receive the data from the box.

I know the telnet thing, but the delay is annoying :(

We do not allow the live data to be available due to security reasons and hence it is encrypted and is only readable through the 5 minute delayed port.

If you are representing a Professional Company please contact us directly otherwise it is not available to the "home" user.

Could You please describe, what does the '5 minutes delay' mean ?

Does that mean, that ppl will receive informations every 5 minutes, or each plane is to be updated every 5 minutes.. ?

Please specify.
