Loss of aircraft and crew
« on: October 31, 2009, 06:18:35 PM »
I regret to announce that one of our C-130 aircraft, USCG-1705 [ADFE11 CN4993]out of AIRSTA Sacramento, CA USA, crashed Thursday night 29 Oct 2009,about 15 miles east of San Clemente Island off the coast of San Diego. All seven crew were lost.

They were searching for an overdue 12-foot pleasure craft when there was a collision with a Marine Corps AH-1 Cobra helicopter [no id] at about at 1915 Pacific Daylight Savings Time. Two crew of the Cobra were also lost.

These people will be missed.
