3.07 Install trouble
« on: October 27, 2009, 07:13:15 PM »
Hi

Just had to reinstall mt XP PC.  Thought I would go direct to 3.07.  Have the full version.  INstalled logged in automatically wants to have the home data added.  However when I enter this the OK or Apply bittons do not work.  If I cancel I resent to this.  In a complete loop that I can't fix.  Also noted that no map colours are set have to physically select a colour scheme or the there are no Grid Visible columns to tick!!!

Will try to install and early version to upgrade the registry

Any one any ideas as to what is wrong?

OK I have found the OK and Apply buttons didn't work.  However if I clicked Cancel it saved the data and I could carry on!!!  The I could go back into Preferences, set the info and and use the OK and Apply buttons. Guess its a bug.

Having the same problem here in 3.07Beta. Cannot display Home Station on the display. Enter Lat & Lon which it saves. Press Apply and then OK but will not display. Any ideas?

Can you explain exactly what data you enter, it could be a format problem. RB expects decimal degrees and for west of Greenwich to be a negative number.

If you right click your position on the map you can save as your home location.

Going to preferences/selecting Home Station/Entering Lat &Lon 50.5436 & -2.4368/Apply/OK. The Home Station page diappears, as it should but, there is
no graticule over my location+. Being running v3 for over a year no problem.

Same here Frank. The Apply and OK  Buttons do not seem to work in the Preferences section. Especially in the Home Station Data menu.

my installation problems were resolved by this method
1, install version 2 in a folder in root c:\airnav and set all prefernces
2,uninstall via control panel version2
3, install version 3 into the same folder, c:\airnav, it keeps some files and configurations.
good luck
