Where are you installing to?  If you're running Vista, do NOT accept the default location folder - C:\Program Files\etc.....

Instead use a folder something like C:\Airnav\

That may not be the cause of your problem, but it's worth a go.

Hi Michael,

I had that problem. I cured it by downloading the ANRB.EXE file (manual installation) and replacing the current ANRB.EXE file with it.

Worth a try.  Here's the link:
http://www.airnavsystems.com/download/anrb/beta/anrb.exe

Download and put in your Radarbox folder, replacing the existing anrb.exe

Uninstall.  Download the latest v3.06.  Install into C:\Airnav

You don't need any earlier versions.

Hi Tarbat I opened the link for manual install and got the following message.

This application has failed to star because rb.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

Michael

You don't need any earlier versions.

Hi Tarbat I opened the link for manual install and got the following message.

Save it, don't open it.  Save it in the Radarbox folder on your PC.

After doing full install of 3.06 beta, first time I ran it,  I got an Access Violation.
Unfortunately I did not think to screen shot it, and so I missed the instruction address.  My only option was to hit okay, and then it kept cascading with that message. there was no option to terminate it, and it just kept looping with more of these.

Second time I ran it, I got an Access Violation at address 007D559A in module 'ANRB.EXE'. Read of address 00000374.

I forgot to mention it also pops up a message after hitting okay saying it needs more information on the station.  It is very hard to kill, because about once a second the access violation starts coming up.

It sounds like for some reason the registry keys have not been written correctly, all the settings are stored in the registry.

Are you able to run regedit to have a look?

Hi I have had that same message numerous times and yes the pop up cascades until you hit ctrl alt del and cancel it thru the task manager, why cant this be as easy to install as previous versions?

Is it a Vista issue, I was quite relieved in a way to see that it is not only me getting the pop up!!

So what do we do guys..

Michael

Hi all I also had the same problem today when I did full install of 3.06 beta as said before in a earlier post it keeps popping up with no way of stopping it the only way i found was restarting my computer I uninstalled it after that I installed it in to a separate folder than the default location will try again when I get a chance but not really bothered as this is only a beta version I would rather wait till the full version comes out when ether that will be

I'm running windows vista  basic 32bit
Located in Limerick Ireland about 20 odd miles from Shannon airport EINN

Hi all,   I've been trying to get the full version of Beta 3.06 to download and install - about 6 times, so far.      The program seems to download OK (20 - 30 minutes later!), but on trying to run or install, it seems to go through all the correct steps, but as soon as the screen comes up with ANRB serial number and supplied password, hit the start button and I get one error message

Headed "ANRB 2009 - 3.06 Beta"

Script "Access Violation at the address 007D559A in module 'ANRB.exe'.   Read of address 00000374"

then 51 error messages

Headed "ANRB 2009 - 3.06 Beta"

Script "Access Violation at the address 007DA682 in module 'ANRB.exe'.   Read of address 00000378"

I can be quite specific about 51, as I then get a Microsoft Windows message saying ANRB.exe has stopped working (didn't I guess???), Windows will try to find a solution, which it doesn't.

The OS is Vista Home Premium, and I've previously had the 2009(8) CD version, and all 3 Betas running without any problems.

I have recently had to reset the laptop and restore (re-format HDD to original partitions) to original Acer factory defaults, all AirNav files and references have been deleted.    This reset was undertaken, as a change of ISP from Orange to BT Internet, resulted in continual freeze-ups (appearances of BTFON and Openzone unsecured internet screens, which would not allow internet access).

Any suggestions please, before this flaming laptop gets launched off the nearby cliff.

I originally posted this as a new topic, but obviously it should be in here (Sorry, AN!).
