A quick update, just tried deleting all references to ANRB, re-started machine, stuck the 2009 CD in, loaded it, RB springs to life and running OK, just got to figure out now how to get the 3.06 Beta running again..................
ANRB :  AOR AR8000 : Icom R-7000 : Icom IC-R9000 : JRC NRD-545 : OptoElectronics Digital Scout and OptoLinx Interface; Realistic Pro-2005 : UBC 800XLT - listed in alphabetical order, not cost, preference, performance or entertainment value!

I had the exact same issue as "CoastGuardJon" did with the Access Violations with 3.06. 3.01b works fine, as did 2.x.

I also have VHP 64 bit, with Digital Driver Enforcement turned onn. The box is a, HP e9180f with an i7 at 2.67 GHz. and 9 GB of RAM. I installed 3.06b in a standalone folder on the C: drive, as I had with prior versions.

CoastGuardJohn , if you have a v3 beta already just download the separate 3.06 ANRB.exe into your Airnav prog files and overright whats there. That worked for me! The full 3.06 Download and I was getting 30 second refreshes on the realtime network, after substituting the ANRB.exe file I got 20 sec realtime updates.
Airnav please explain why!

I like the realtime network, but I'm really an eyeball airplane spotter, so I have decided to abandon all network access.

I get the same Access Violation error with Win7 64bit Ultimate RTM version.  I see a possible work around is getting and installing the released version of 3.0 and then applying the .exe for v3.06 over the top, correct?

Hi All,
I too was getting the Access Violation notifications on Windows Vista 32bit and I believe I have found a solution. I uninstalled v3.06 and then did a fresh full install to C:\AirNav.
When asked to give a Program menu location I put in AirNav\Radarbox. Then before I started Radarbox after the installation, I replaced the .exe file in the C:\AirNav directory with
the one from the manual installation and voila... on startup everything seems to be working now..

Hope this helps.

For those users experiencing the Access violation error, could you report the date of the ANRB.exe file, its size and send us (could be to the forum) a screen shot of the windows folder where the .exe is?

Also can you confirm this error happens alwasy with the same conditions and which conditions they are?

ANDev, I will have to spend some time playing to see if I can find the exe. file, size and date (I'm not a techno head!).

The Access Violation message comes after downloading and going through the installation process.    Everything appears to be going correctly, and the Finish/Launch Application box appears, from this the RB start up screen runs OK and as it should do, to the point where the prompt appears (with Serial No and Password), press the Start tab, Validation etc. starts and progresses.    Then everything goes belly up, a single red cross Access Violation message Script "Access Violation at the address 007D559A in module 'ANRB.exe'.   Read of address 00000374" appears, press the tab on that one and a blue Windows box appears, saying more information on the system is required, then the second Access Violation messages Script "Access Violation at the address 007DA682 in module 'ANRB.exe'.   Read of address 00000378"  start cascading in until Windows shuts the program down.

I hope this is clear enough (I'm totally confused!!!) and what you need.

I'm off to Download 3.06 again to see if I can find this exe. file info..

ANDev, I've just deleted all ANRB files (incl. 2009 CD version) and references that I could find.   Downloaded 3.06 full version and tried to install - exactly the same problems all over again.     So deleted 3.06 and references again.   Reloaded 2009 CD version - loads and runs fine, but I didn't have to re-enter my exact Long/Lat numbers - that and the Serial No., Password etc., was all available - where is this data likely to be found - could it be this 2009 CD data remnants are interfering with the 3.06 installation?

AirNav,
I have now installed the update to the update and when I click on the Network tab, I can now see the message regarding Live network which was not there before. However, I still have the situation of highlighting a particular aircraft on the Map in My Flights and getting no response regarding the correct aircraft picture and details from the grid. It's as if the Map is 'not talking' to the grid. Don't know if that makes any sense not being a computer buff. In order for the grid to show the correct aircraft picture, I have to highlight the aircraft details on the grid.
Another instance of this 'not talking' scenario between the map and the grid is that if I highlight an aircraft on the map which is in My flights and then go to highlight an aircraft on the map which has an asterisk next to it and therefore should appear on the Network, the grid does not automatically change from My Flights to Network details as it used to do in version  3.01. I have to click on the Network tab in order for it to change. I should add that in order to make it more difficult for yourselves to suss out the problem is that these instances are intermittant but usuually after the RB has been on for at least an hour.

Ian
Edit: An update to that, is that I now have the Network grid showing with just 98 flights which is clearly a nonsense and My Flights showing on the Map and when I click on the My Flights tab, the grid will not go back to My Flights it would appear to have frozen on the Network grid. As I say it's as if something has been missed out of the program which allows the map to 'talk' to the grid.Oh well yet another reboot !

Hi Jannuh, thanks for that, but had you been getting the Access Violation messages during previous attempts to install 3.06?    As a matter of interest, all my previous RB preferences were also still retained.
