I guess the Military don't want us to know where there planes are

That's pretty universal.  The only military aircraft we see plotting on the radar screen here in the Northern Hemisphere tend to be civilian types such as A310s, 737s, Gulfstreams, etc serving with the US, Canadian and various European air arms.

The only other, rather surprising, type that usually plots is the US Navy's E-6 Mercury fleet - we think that's because they haven't yet found out how to turn it off  :-)

Well, that spoils that. I thought you might get the odd thing in and out of there.

Got to admit, the world wide stuff on the network sounds cool but I really find the local 'live' traffic a lot more interesting.

The 5 min delay kind of takes the edge of it somehow.

You will see some ADSB flights at Richmond (YSRI) from time to time.  I watched the Pope's flight touch down when he was here and you will also see the RAAF B737s doing touch and gos.

Cheers

Thanks M,

I have spent many a day out near the Richmond RAAF base spotting aircraft.

One or two interesting things to see occasionally.

I'm living in Melbourne these days so will have to rely on the network.

Cheers,
Paul.

PS, my RB is still sitting in the box, haven't had a chance to try it yet. But tommorow I have a rostered day off. Can't wait to try it out.

Oh,

Just like to thank Tim and the gang from VicScan Computer Solutions for thier awesome and prompt customer service.

I ordered the RB online Saturday night with my CC and it was delivered this morning (Tuesday) around 10am.

Thanks guys.

Cheers,

Paul.

I know that this is a little delayed, but Thank you MrT for the positive feedback, we really appreciate it.

I am curious to know if anyone has been in contact with the other listed Australian dealer?

Thank You

So far I've seen only one! (and I captured it in 3D) :)

ADSB & Richmond are almost mututally exclusive...

Hi Tim,

No worries.

I might be knocking on your door for a better antenna setup soon. Do you have them in stock again?

Cheers,
Paul.

Good Afternoon Paul,
Due to the low number of orders, we are not keeping them in stock, rather when a customer wants one, we process and order through to our supplier, and they are made straight away. The antenna is specifically tuned to 1090MHz for this specific application.

Please allow about 1 week for the order to be completed.

Not a problem. If you happen to know anyone who is interested, we would appreciate you sending them our way.

By the way, did you come straight to us, or did you try to contact the other dealer?

I thought so too but then it arrived a couple of days later so they must have found one ;)

Tim,

I went straight through you. Glad I did. I wasn't even aware of another dealer?

And I'll certainly pass on the word for you. Excellent customer service.

Cheers,
Paul.

I will give you guys a little insight as to how we work here at VicScan Computer Solutions.

Being that we are the main dealer here in Australia, we work on a 3 sold in 2 months basis. Basically it means that if we sell 3 or more within a 2 month period, we order another 3 in stock. Also, when we sell the last one that we have on hand, provided it is within the 2 months, we order another 3 straight away, so that we always have some in stock. We currently only have one left in stock, but we are trying to move it ASAP to get our figures up... Any help moving our stock would be greatly appreciated.

With regards to the other dealer, I have heard that he is hard to get in contact with...
