RB Drivers?
« on: September 29, 2009, 12:17:41 AM »
I installed the latest v3 Beta software but noticed there are no drivers listed in the device manager settings.

Do these get installed when I actually plug the RB in for the first time ?

Cheers,

Paul.

Yes.  See the first few pages of the manual PDF for driver installation instructions.

Thanks Tarbat,

I'll have a fiddle round when I get home from work tonight.

I downloaded the latest beta version. Do you recommend I use that, or delete it and install the version supplied on the CD ?

The box has the 2009 sticker on it.

Cheers,

Paul.

Hi MrT the software supplied with the RadarBox is the current supported stable version. The latest Beta 3.01 is what it means, a Beta test version of software which may not be stable for you.
With Beta software, you use at your own risk. That's not to say it may be an improvement on v2.01 which it is, apart from the network!

A new beta is expected soon so in your shoes I would install the 2009 software on the CD and wait for the latest beta.

Why do I always take the different road to everybody else? ;^)

If it were me - and I have used both - I would still go with the latest Beta.

For me it brings some much needed stability to the party along with a few other nice touches.

Having said that as things are at the moment I would grit my teeth and wait just a little longer for the latest Beta to be released.

There you go Paul...a spanner in the works! :-)

Decisions...decisions...

Kind regards,

No Kevin.

You said install the 2009 software on the CD and wait for the latest beta! ;^)

I would skip the CD install completely and just go with the full Beta installation!

There is a difference...subtle...but different ;^)

Is there a reason you use the SR-71 as your Avatar?

That's got to be my all-time favourite aircraft...

Kind regards,
