Got this one today AA71 N7942B C172 at FL320 Going oceanic going to Dallas Fort worth turns out to be the wrong mode s code so it says on Airframes.org it should be a B777 I thought it was a funny to see a Cessna at that hight and speed going out over the Atlantic I thought it was some sort of new record attempt lol :)
TARTN is 101 squadron VC10 tankers. Most transport are ASCOT or RRRhope this helps,Paul
So, do the ATC SSR systems make any use of the Mode S code? Cross check it against separation distances for widebodies for instance? I assume they don't or such a miscode would be pretty obvious and trigger some sort of alert.

Mode S AE25D5 (unkown to me) is currently in range of my Midlands based indoor antenna at 33,100, sqwarking 6402 with the slightly ominous flight ID of "Death11"
