She may not be the prettiest aircraft, but it is different, and adds variety to what we see on our RB's, perhaps some years down the line you may have a soft spot for the A380, you never know ;)

Cant see why you call it ugly? itc certainly one hell of a plane to fly on. The wife and myself flew to Singapore on route to Bali on the 1205 hrs flight out of H?row and it was a very interesting flight. Colin.

It is all a matter of taste and personal opinion but to me it is plain ugly :-)

May be I have been around for too long and remember much more stylish aircraft.

Can you remember how noisy some of these old aircraft were, especially the Tridents on take off and the great plooms of black smoke they left behind, and people complain of aircraft noice today, pah! they don't know how good they have it.

BAE 1-11 was a noisy aircraft but Concorde was probably one of the worst.

Were you ever on the old Tridents? The front row of seats faced rearward so that you actually sat facing your fellow passengers. Very off-putting. Still, in those days, you could at least sit towards the rear of the aircraft and have a pleasant smoke. Try doing that today !

Reputed to require the earth's curvature to get airborne!

But capable of descending astonishingly rapidly, using in-flight reverse thrust.

And Cat III autoland capable before there was Cat III.

Also used when landing at places like Edinburgh (6000' runway in those days).  Full reverse thrust before you're even over the threshold ...
