I'm seeing an awful lot of network flights with NA as the Status, and they're not on the map. What's that about?

NA means not available, flights which status is unknown. You will see lots of these flights on ground.

I don't remember seeing so many NA aircraft in previous versions. Is there some other factor causing this?

Dev - no we won't - because they don't show position!

I'm a bit confused by this - it used to be that all flights on the network (except timeouts) showed position - by definition, they only got onto the network if they did show position.

These NA flights are confusing the issue. Is this change a genuine enhancement or a bug?

Even stranger, some of the NA aircraft hav no position, but do have a Dist(NM) value. If Radarbox doesn't know the position of the aircraft, how can it know the Distance from home?

I've noticed that the NA aircraft don't have Altitude or GS.

I don't know about you chaps, but I find that the NA aircraft are completely pointless - all RB's telling us is that these aircraft exist, and are probably powered-up.

Why clog up the network and our grids with them?

We will explain what happens: with the new network flight routines to avoid flights being concentrated at runway ends time-outed we had to introduce several time-out routines. These cause that some NW flights change to a different status. There is nothing we can do about the... unless change the flight status routine so it returns a different Status, not NA but...?

Maybe rename NA to TimedOut? And ensure that these time-out aircraft still display their last known altitude in the aircraft list.

As I type this, there are 1203 aircraft on the network, and 335 of them are NA. That's over a quarter of them!

If we can't tell where they are, I would rather they weren't there at all.

Corrected. NA flights will not be shown on the Network grid.
