They have suddenly reappeared again as it has got cooler, dont neccasarily agree with the last statement there are lots of EZY and Ryr flights around all day and when compared to Richs flights and what he is picking up{he is only 5 miles away} it is strange im not receiving anything even when the aircraft are directly over me and descending.

If it is due to the heat, is there any antenna connections which are not touching correctly and during the day they do touch due to heat causing expansion. A bit of a long shot though.

To confirm your comment, there have been plenty of aircraft tracking all night which you should be seeing on the map - I've been on since around 17:00 BST and it's been very very busy this evening -all sorts of traffic around

One thought -are you running off a desktop or laptop? My laptop has been running in a very peculiar way this afternoon when it was very very hot, which was appearing to slow down the speed of some functionality on Radarbox  - could it be your hardware?

Hi all,

Returned home from work at 16:15 to find my box had stopped working at 09:51 this morning:-(
Just the green power LED on.
Disconected the USB and reconected and back into life:-)
My box runs 24/7 and has never done this before.

John

Edit :- Its just done it again at 17:11. No error or anything just OFF
Disconnected the USB and reconected and back to life, any ideas anyone?

John - dodgy USB cable highlighted by the hot weather?

Just a thought.

Hi Rod,

Its behaved itself since 5:20pm, so I'll monitor what happens. I'm hoping its a  laptop and not a RB problem as I've got a back up laptop:-) If it happens again I'll try a differant USB port and take it from there.

Cheers John

Just to say as the weather has cooled ive had no problems at all on all day and picking up all day, my unit is housed in the loft and an active 5metre extension usb to my pc, i can only put it down to heat on those long hot summers days.

Now back to enjoying it.
