Custom labels
« on: June 21, 2009, 06:21:37 PM »
I have tried to enter the details of some custom points but always find the points are not where they should be. Does anyone know how the following information should be entered correctly in the preferences menu to get the point in the correct position: N55°52.45 W003°24.08

Cheers

planes 0001,

Apologies missed out the comma. It should be 55.5245,-3.2408. No need to put in the 'N' and 'W'.

Cheers,
Ian

Thanks for your help but I had already put the comma in, the point appears to far east though

EDIT

I have worked out a converter needs to be used to change this form (in minutes and seconds) to the decimal form required for the RadarBox

Thanks for your help anyway

As your location id in decimal format rather than  D m s    you should be able to use it directly in RB.

Rgds
Based in Hexham - Tyne Valley
Best view for RB is North of a line between EGNT and EGNC  - includes OTA and Spade, to EGPH above 7500ft.   Can be TRUE mobile with Mobile Broadband feed to Network.

You can have Google Earth display position information in a number of different ways - including decimal degrees. It's in the options settings if I remember correctly.
