Screenshot SE UK Ver 3 Beta
« on: June 21, 2009, 09:35:37 AM »
After changing Compatibility Mode to Windows 98/ME the program ran on my XP Service Pack 3 machine. 20% more flight IDs received: decoding of more mode-s protocol frames is immediately apparent.

Eagerly awaiting compatibility fix.

Hi Tom,

The antenna is an SSE 1090SJ mk2 with a Kuhne KU LNA 1090 A TM preamp. The signal is then split with a Suhner Powwer Divider to feed the Radarbox and SBS-1. Ecoflex15 coax is used throughout

Out of interest Peter what is your location in the SE in terms of height and surrounding obstacles (trees, hills, buildings etc). I'm located around 10nm south of LGW with a roof mounted antenna but have only 50% of your range!
Thanks,
Dave
9 nm south of LGW

Hi Dave,

2.5nm SW EGLF at 120m amsl. A 4.5m pole on TK brackets puts the antenna at least 2m clear of our and all neighbouring roof lines and chimneys. I estimate it to be 22m off the ground.

The local topography as plotted by Radio Mobile.
