V 3.0 problems
« on: June 19, 2009, 01:20:47 PM »
I have just downloaded and installed v 3.0 but my location has moved?

I am just north of Wakefield and the map now shows me near Sheffield Airport? I have checked the lat and long and it is still as it was before. How can I adjust this?
Also, how do I get rid of the trail lines? I have unchecked the box in preferences and in maps but no good.

Hope you can help please.

Regards

Terry

Think I have cured both by a re-boot.

Thanks

Check that you have "Draw Home Location Legend" ticked ON in preferences.

Sorry, can't help with Trail Lines.  Unticking them in the menu (MAP - TRAIL LINES) works okay for me.

Hi All,

Wrong flightid / route information?

Exemple:

KLM Flight 1001 from EGLL to EHAM was landed at EHAM. One hour later the same aircraft departes as KLM flight 1147 to ENGM.

The departing KLM1147 shows as flightid KLM1001 with route-information EGLL-EHAM....????

What happens here? Will this (wrong) information also been written to the "MyLog" database?

Correction from my side on this:

Shows fligtid KLM1147 with KLM1001 information. (EGLL-EHAM but should be EHAM-ENGM).

THIS IS STILL AN EXAMPLE: I SAW THIS MORE THIS DAY IN OTHER SITUATIONS!

Sorry for any confusion but that something is going wrong in this stays clear I think.

It is also possible that I do something wrong; until sofar I read nothing about problems with this on the forum. When it is going wrong ideed, this is an important subject in the use of RB I think. Maybe I should asking direct to Support?

Another thing:

sudenly I have two a/c from the same place:

First:

PH-BTH routing LFPG-EHAM;
PH-BTI routing HLLT-EHAM.

And then, from the one moment to the other:

Both, BTH and BTI gives routing HLLT-EHAM.

All this is NO critism. I only want to help with given this exemples!

There was also this afternoon a verry laughing one: a KLM 737 (PH-BTG) enroute with KLM861 (EHAM-RJAA)............

Hi All,

One more and I will stop this exemples:

PH-SRU (a Piper-PA owned by Vliegclub Rotterdam) is operating for KLM flight 0964 EGNT-EHAM this day.....

As you can see no reaction from anyone until sofar on my postings about this. But seriously: I am not joking.....

Hi John,

If we don't flag up the problems they won't be sorted out. With anything new there are always a few rough edges that need smoothing.

In these times of recession I'm sure the Airnav lads & lasses will be glad of the overtime:-)

Keep up the good work Airnav:-)

Cheers John

Strange, I had KLM964 on the network earlier this afternoon, operated by F70 PH-JCT, and with the route showing as EHAM-EGNT (which is wrong, it should indeed be EGNT-EHAM).

Hi All,

no doubt on my my part! I believe in the good work of ANRB in this case. I only report, in my case total mess in case of route information, it was good Support to inform about my findings....

Dave also saw KLM964 (PH-JCT) overhead but he was going west not east.

Can you clarify - by "saw" do you mean eyeballed or saw on the screen ?

And likewise did the flight number come from RadarBox or from an ATC transmission ?

In order to keep the discussion organized, please avoid creating more topics on V3 beta public release. There is already a topic (listed below).
