3.0 BETA Patch 1: ALERTS problem
« on: July 10, 2009, 01:49:06 AM »
First of all, hats off to the team for some wonderful enhancements with this patch, especially the flight history and ability to locate records in the database explorer with a right click.

I've noticed the following problems with the ALERTS feature;

1) The Execute a file box is still always ticked in alerts.

2) The Flight ID Alerts and squawk alerts do not work, either with a specific ID or code entered or with a wildcard entry.

3) When an alert is generated, only the feature that is alerted on is transmitted in an alert email. For example, a registration alert only shows the registration that is alerting. Previous versions would also include the Flight ID, Registration, Aircraft Type, Route Altitude and Speed, for an alerted aircraft if any of those fields had information.

4) When entering data in any of the alert categories it is necessary to exit the entire program in order for the new entries to be recognized for future alerts. The only exception appears to be the Range alert feature which will alert as soon as data is entered and the Range box is checked. I seem to recall previous versions recognizing data entered in all categories as soon as it was entered and generated alerts immediately if the conditions were met.
