How about adding a weather picture download and overlay function, whereby realtime weather could be downloaded and added onto the map? - then we can see if aircraft "request weather avoidence" what they are avoiding?

Dont know if its just me but we seem to be waiting a very long time for this. I seem to remember twice being told its release was just about to happen. As its taking alot longer am I to expect a whole lot more than Ver1.4 or are you just experiencing major problems ??
Always nice to know where we stand,
Rgds

I also can hardly wait to lay my hands on version 1.4, not in the least because
it offers so much more than version 1.3, the release of the 1.4 manual has become
a real tease now.....

But as a former beta tester for ANST/ANAD and ANSD I also know it is important not
to release software before most (all) bugs have been fixed, I assume that hasn't
happened yet.

But I sure would like to know or be updated on where we stand right now...

Thx,

Marinus,

Hi B744, Marinus,

Version 1.4 is in beta stage but we are still getting feedback from those who are using it and we are making sure that it is 100% finished and there are no bugs.
There is one ongoing issue with Version 1.4 which is delaying the release and we don't want to release it untill that is fixed.

The manual shows the functions included and there shouldn't be any extras. Unlike some of the past software changes where customers really needed, this is more of an upgrade rather than a patch so we are making sure things look great from the start.

Hope that explains things better.

Well the fact that with 1.3 I have not been able to save anything I have picked up as it all disappears on closing down I do think a fix to that bug is really needed and has been since 1.3 came out. Please dont keep us waiting much longer :-(

Quick question from yet another newbie (brilliant bit of kit by the way) with apologies if it has already been asked and answered - when 1.4 is released, will existing users have to pay for it?

I would like to add these to the next-upgrade-wishlist:

* add "Squawk" to the Alerts entries (to be alerted by special squawks like 7700, 7600 etc.)

* option for list w/o any photos (but still downloading GAS and/or Airliners.net updates in the background, if possible)

* list sorting to stay and not to change when new a/c are added

* standalone .rbl-player

* editable NavAids database (VOR, NDB, Fix). Option to add user defined waypoints into this database

Thanks in advance,

Markus

Hi Markus

Thats a great idea about the editable NavAids database (VOR, NDB, Fix), as I have noted that the new NOTA region in Irish airspace, is not included even though it has been in operation since 01/01/05.
