Info for future ITALY user
« on: June 11, 2009, 04:35:36 PM »
Hi to all, i'm approaching buy RB in nex weeks, but i've some question about it

1-are aircraft pictures and flights routes (EGLL-LIMC for ex.) already incl. In sw, or are available only if my PC/Laptop is online with internet connection (so air nav link to A.net for downloading photos?)
I’m not able to connect to internet so for me air nav sw is basically important.
Is possible to download my picture collection in RB sw? for using?

2-I live in Italy MXP-LIN, can i see/recognise airport, apt code,VOR also on the map, or (like others) is available only for UK,EIRE?

3-is there some anti-static filter or something else for reducing static danger! buying directly for W&S?

i'm very kindly of your reponse, pls use  simple Eng llanguage..sorry!

Thank you from now

LELE

Our support will address your questions.
In the meanwhile have a look at some great screen shots created by another Milan based user:

Starting to answer your questions:

1- All pictures are available online and will be downloaded when needed. They are after that saved on your computer. If they are needed again then they will be retrieved from your computer (no need to download again). Same for flight information.

2- RadarBox comes with an updated worldwide airport, runway, VOR, NDB, etc database. V2.10 to be released in a few days contains the last AIRAC cycle for all the world (more than 200 thousand data). This data was imported from official aviation sources.

3- No need to concern about this as only a few users in thousands have experienced this problem. Anyway our support will send you details on that.

Was wondering about the Antenna kit, is it the one that costs around 30 Pounds?
and it includes an AMP?

It is rare but best to take precautions.

Yes - but you can get no photos, no updates of information and no network service.
