Another suggestion for software change.
« on: June 02, 2009, 09:59:50 AM »
I am having fun.

One thing appart from the ability to change columns, when you change from "local" to "network" the map should remember where it is/was.

So, if you are looking around local, then want to look at a network flight, when you click on network flights the map changes to the new location.  But when I click back to loca flights the map jumps back to where it was before.

Possible?

Not sure what you mean?

If you double click on any network or local flight in the list, the map should centre on it.

Ok, that makes sense too.

But there is clicking on a flight involved.

Try two:
I am looking at local flights.  I live in Oz so there is little traffic.

I scroll around looking.  Not too much.

So I go up and select Network flights.
Find a flight and jump to the other side of the world.

Watch, have a bit of fun.  Yeah, let's see what is going on back at home.

Click back on local flights and the map doesn't change back to where it was.

I have to select another flight.

Ok, not much of a problem, but to me it is not a good way of doing it.

Oh, also, moving the mouse around over planes.   It is annoying if I am wanting to scroll the map while having a flight selected and as I move the mouse over other flights - and NOT clicking - the selected flight changes.

Couldn't it be changed so a click is needed to select the flight?

Oh, another thought:
The list of flights (usually on the left of the screen).  I usually have a big map.
So the horizontal size of the data is limited.
Left clicking a flight in the list then RMB on it, gives a pop-up data box which shows a box with all the data which is otherwise hidden.

Just discussing ideas.

I accept that as I use it more and more I may find ways around the problems, but I am offering ways I see as easy.
