I travel a lot with the box and find that a number of airports have one or two hex codes transmitting continuously, I assume they are test signals

The Frankfurt ones are 3C1FFA and 3C1FFB

Is it worth giving these a call sign in the database such as Frankfurt test signal or just test signal?

Hi Nick and welcome to the forum.

There's no reason why you couldn't do that yourself using File... Database Explorer - just add the Mode-S code and put in your own Aircraft Type (AT) and Aircraft Name (AN) entries. You can't actually enter a Flight ID as that comes from the aircraft's transmissions.

These could be ground vehicles such as fire appliances.
