MyLog Development - Suggestions Welcome
« on: October 03, 2007, 10:00:57 PM »
Now that we have a stable AirNav RadarBox 2007 application we will dedicate our time to the development of features that users want. To start AirNav Systems is completely reformulating the way databases are managed inside the application. This will result in improved application performance (less CPU, less RAM) and some new features added.

We are looking to improve the application MyLog feature adding whatever users want us to add apart from the many ideas we already have.

So this topic is just for that: discuss the new MyLog feature and send suggestions. We are working daily on V1.4 so it's now your time to pass us all your ideas.

AirNav Team

For starters,

MyLog...

-Time stamp needs to be more user friendly
-ability to right click and fully edit
-ability to add 'visual' contact field
-ability to add 'heard' contact field
-number of times contacte field
-mode S contact field
-ADS-B contact field
-ACARS contact field
-airline icons field (as in Networks tab)
-Comment field

Reporter needs to by more user friendly too.  The ability to select dates, types, airlines etc would be great!

And as one lone voice in the wind...the ability to export to Airnav Suite or the ablity to import my All Heard Management contacts from Suite to RadarBox.  You asked!

Thanks.

Paul

See previous posts but to include fully editable on screen option, session history, more options for reports(sort order) and an Interested field that you could use to sort with, use in alerts and use in the smart view.
Have a good look at Basestation and dump the bad bits but take on the good. It works well and does what most ask of it.
As one of a few that use both SBS and ANRB, the ability to use the database in one with the other(after conversion)....should be possible if you use SQL as mentioned a while ago.

Just to re-enforce the problems with the update logic...via GAS to Airliners.net...and so on, airliners site down for updating so no updates available................
Please make this logic change a priority ASAP

Thanks Gianni.  RadarBox V1.2 onwards automatically populates aircraft data from the GAS database.  However, there is a problem if you don't have "Download 2 Photos for each aircraft" selected, or if there are not 2 photos on airliners.net
