V 2.10
« on: April 22, 2009, 10:26:36 PM »
RadarBox 2009 (Version 2.1) is currently in development and our development team is working through requests and bugs.

The following bugs or requests have been noted as Critical and we endeavour to rectify/add  them as soon as possible:

  • Slow Menus on certain fast machines (Dual Core, Quad Core)
  • Improved Network flights Transitions to Live (and Live to network)
  • Route overwrites when route with more than one leg is entered via online database
  • Certain Mode-S Flight IDs Missing
  • Auto Populate without Photos
  • Flights going from Network to Local flight should check route info in local database
  • Report should show show all flights for an aircraft not just one
  • Vista 64Bit Drivers
  • Log Mode-S flights better

Please note the list above is not exhaustive (we have many requests marked as high, medium etc..) and this is to give an indication of the most common questions and reports we get to support.

Timeline:

At present development is ongoing so we do not have a certain date. However we should expect soon (5 weeks) to have beta available. We have not confirmed whether this first beta will be available to the public on that date but it won't be long after that we have public beta and then a release version. Please note however it is hard to place an exact date on development due to issues which may arise in testing or whether certain requests are found to consuming to develop that originally anticipated.

We would like to thank your patience and apologise for the delay. We are a company who listens and we are a company who innovates and we hope version 2.1 matches and goes beyond your needs.

Impressive V2.10 Screen Shot
As we finished the implementation of the new AIRAC cycle into V2.10 (that contains updates on more than 100 thousand VOR, NDB, FIXes and Airways) we created the below Screen Shots that show the airspace network in some parts of the world.

The update of Navigation aids will be done automatically in the future (starting with V3.0 later this year).

Current status: all problems corrected. Tested by 4 pre-beta testers and 8 errors reported all of them minor. We plan to correct them during the next 2 days and send the software back to the beta testers for further testing. So next Monday/Tuesday we will have more news.
