Airnav Please Help Me Urgently!!
« on: April 21, 2009, 10:05:27 PM »
Hi my radarbox has stopped working at 21.16pm this evening. I have some 902 aircraft logged up to then and it was working fine when I left it to watch the Liverpool v Arsenal game. i came upstairs after that and it was displayng the map with neither network nor my flights traffic. I checked and the yellow light was on but no other lights.

After checking the cables were still connected, they were, I loggged out and restarted the system. I got no lights at all. I tried another usb cable and still nothing. If I just make contact with the usb cable I can get the yellow light on and the blue flashing light but no traffic. If I fully connect the usb lead i get the yellow light only.

Please help me serious withdrawal symptons are already setting in.

John

Well if your anything like me you would have been jumping up and down through that mad game that the anything in the house would have shaken :)

Being serious, restart the computer and try putting RB in another USB port than you usually use, this might wake it up. A blue flasing light when RadarBox 2009 is not running means you need to install drivers.

What does RadarBox 2009 say, does it find it or does it say checking?

Also make sure you restart your pc.

Doesn't look good, contact support via our signature and they will get back to you with other tests otherwise they will give you details regarding a return to base.

Mine does that aswell if I want to use my us interface unit together with radarbox. I don't think the drivers are compatable, so as a result I have to disable the usinterface drivers then radarbox ok

Just on a side note, maybe AirNav Systems will offer owners of Radar-boxes a discounted second box, handy to have in case of emergency breakdowns, and knowing the pain and withdrawal symptoms us owners will suffer.
A bit like a spare tyre at a discount price :-)
Cheers.

I once had those very symptoms, and it fixed itself the following day, and I dont think I changed much, maybe the change of USB port actually.

We have done that in the past in few cases actually, you can check the forum.

However we are more carefull now as some people have taken advantage of our trust by never returning the orginal one.

Sorry but we don't. We are looking to have further bases in the different areas of the world so customers don't have to fork out a large amount on shipping back.

However if you buy from our dealers most will handle the repair proceadure themselves (in terms of either giving you a RB on the spot and sending of the other one or handling the sending of process). Though this does depend on dealers.

Can I just point out that the postage doesn't have to be expensive? I sent my RB from Britain to Portugal, airmail and fully insured, for less than £9 via the dear old Post Office.

It's slightly annoying, but it doesn't break the bank.
