AIRNAV is the server working OK?
« on: April 14, 2009, 11:53:22 PM »
Airnav,

Is the Populate feature working as when I do a populate in Mylog it is not downloading photo's correctly. Downloads info from airnet but misses photo's about 40% of the time.

The number it says it is updating is steadily increasing each day, I am now up to 167.
It did this just after you got the server back on line after the crash.

edit the symptoms are similar to this thread

It should be fine we haven't had any disconnections with GAS.

167 doesn't sound too many, there will be many aircraft which it can't find details for.

There is STILL a problem with the photo download.

In mylog today I have 25 aircraft marked untitled. See Mylog today
Of these 10 did not download photo's only info from airnet, hence the untitled, because GAS leaves it blank if there is no info.  (I'm refering to the airline column in Mylog or AC in Database)

Example from mylog on GAS for G-HAFT. See G-HAFT ON GAS

The third attatchment is the picture it did not download from Airnet only the info.
4th attatchment whats shown in database explorer
Can you explain why this is happening it is very frustrating. This is about 40% of the new aircraft picked up today.

Cheers John (The files are to large to send in one post so 2 are in next post.

Photo download does seem a bit sporadic at the moment.  I've had several new aircraft appear today without photos, even though photos are available on airliners.net.  One example is G-BGWK, first seen today at 16:35pm.  Many photos exist on airliners.net, but not downloaded to my PC.
