I logged ZE755 between 18:59 - 19:10 at FL220. Didn't see it pop up at the time  but would have been interesting to see where the Squawk was allocated from.

It was the FlightID that caught my interest!!!!

Must be an incorrect hex code. ZE755 Tornado F3 was withdrawn from use in March 2008 and scrapped at Leeming. Possible its box was recently fitted to another aircraft and the code was not changed.

It could be a reuse of the Mode-S.... and Airframes and the RB Server software not having caught the airframe change.......  As I mentioned it was the Flight-ID that caught my attention.

Barnes Wallace died Oct 1979. Tirpitz was sunk on 12 Nov 1944. Wing Commander (later Group Captain) J B "Willie" Tait RAF DSO*** DFC* ADC who led the successful attack on the Tirpitz died 31st May 2007. Roy Chadwick, who designed the Lancaster, died 23 August 1947. Can't imagine who they would be commemorating.

Lake District, Wallace and Wife - were if I recall the article regular visitors to a specific hotel.
Local paper was reporting a planned event - openning of the property as a tourist attraction - will have to look in lakeland news sites.

Can't see why they would use Tirpitz1 c/s for that. Although Barnes Wallace designed the Tallboy bomb used to sink the Tirpitz, the events most people identify him with are the design of the 'Upkeep' bouncing bomb and the Dambusters raids.

Couple of interesting bits this morning

AE178A F15E 91-0306, c/s STRIK11

No tie-up for these. Any ideas anyone?

AE1CC1 no c/s resolved
AE1CC6 c/s HITMN11

Certainly looks like it, google points back to an older post in the forum but nowt popped up in my forum search. Must be a bad typing day.

Now ICAO:000001 has popped up with c/s STRIKE11, no other information apart from the squawk code which keeps changing every few seconds. Wonder if this is some sort of decoding issue.

Looks like 91-0306 has a slight technical problem?
