John, If I've got this right (not really played with the logs on here yet) then mode-s was 738A92 and is Israeli Military.

Steve,

No tie up for the hex code found but from your jpg he was decending. Maybe Lyneham or Brize? Were you listening on the radio to him by any chance. He has not shown on my box:-(

I had put this up before I assume this is the same aircraft.

Hi two USA types on the box now. A regular on here AE08F6 US Army 85-0152 RC12K Huron Argus 65. The second AE11FA a USAF C40C BBJ (737-7CP) 02-0203 Boxer 46.
It would appear i was wrong in USAF if that is the case and it was a US Navy aircraft?

You were not wrong John, I only found Allied 1 in my log used by AE0977 165834 Boeing C-40A Clipper. So it looks like its used across different arms of the American forces. Perhaps someone in the know may be able to shed some light on it. The aircraft today had an Israely hex and I could not find it on the net.
So its interesting and a little mysterious:-)

Sorry if its caused any missunderstanding

Hi John no misunderstanding I was interested in this callsign and so i asked on another site. This might help explain it!!

Allied 1 is not the ATC callsign, ie, you might hear things like C130s using it on sbs, but might be calling as Talon/Shadow etc on a scanner, have seen a Dutch AF reported as using it once before too.

A bit  more, apparently an Israeli C130 showed up on SBS and Radarbox with Allied1 as its "callsign" today. It was going into Brize on a Cargo flight. It was 738A92 serial 545.

John

if you would like to see it it's here on final approach.

Hi John,

You've found the gap in my system, without scanner at the mo so might have been a bit clearer to me had I been able to listen. I just asumed it was the callsign/Flight No.
Thanks for the info

Cheers John
