Ground Traffic - Observations EDDH (Hamburg-Fuhsbüttel)

(1/2) > >>

HH:
Some Shots from traffic on the ground at EDDH, Hamburg, Germany.

Some things I observed were that departing traffic (while taxiing) almost never showed up. In contrast to that the landing traffic was visible a long time after landing. The ground track in Radarbox compared to reality (as I had full sight of the taxiways) was very accurate with those planes.

Have a look at the offsets (e.g. DLH 076), which I often observe esp. with Lufthansa Flights (sometimes 2nm and more even on domestic flights).

I'm also not sure with the QNH settings, as you can see the DLH076, which already touched down at this time, showed up 180 ft. (with the actual QNH derived from the latest ATIS and set in the preferences). Field elevation is 53" in EDDH. Correcting the QNH down by 4 hPa (barometic scale factor 4 * 30 ft.) showed the correct altitude of at least some aircraft, but it also differed as you can see with the UAE206 (in the short final, not landed) and BER3167 (touched down).

I would like to thank Allocator for his great work on the outlines for EDDH_Ground!

Markus

Looking good Markus, great screenshots!

I think that you still have your original test outline installed as well - see the extra lines that run from the northern threshold to the eastern.  Same from SW T/H to S T/H.

I think that it's this one you want to get rid of:

Hi Allocator,

finally got rid of those lines. Thank you!

Markus

flightchecker:
Hi Markus,
enjoyed your screenshots very much. How about letting the VIRTUAL-RADAR.de
community enjoy too??? (as was with the A-380 visiting EDDH!!!)
The "offsets" as mentioned above have been part of an earlier discussion with you already.
Lufthansa's B737 fleet , as well as a lot of other aircraft "suffer this behavior", resulting from their ADS-B transmitted positioning data beeing INS / DME-DME based rather than GPS. As there is no official use yet, nobody "complains" exept  "Virtual Radar Users".

Looking forward for your screenshots,

Karl

HH:
The next will be on virtual-radar.de ;)

Liebe Grüße,

Markus
