FTP Sites for RB
« on: March 11, 2009, 01:57:50 PM »
Hi all. anyone know a good Web Hosting privider I can buy my domain name from and host my RB image? Tried some of the free services and they dont seem to support the image (well they stopped my one)
Also would be good to add a sticky at the top of forum of users with current sites. (always handy when Im looking out of my work window in London:-))

See http://www.uk-cheapest.co.uk/

I've been with this provider for over a year. I'm able to ftp my screenshots without problems. See my website.

That's really useful...look on the current site and spot an aircraft flying over your building. Run to the window - see nothing but a dispersing contrail and realise it flew over 5 minutes ago! ;^)

Hi Cam.  Well done, although it doesn't seem to refresh automatically every 60 seconds.  You might want to look at the code developed a couple of months ago that forces a refresh in the various browsers (Firefox, IE, etc.) - see http://www.airnavsystems.com/forum/index.php?topic=1414.msg16184#msg16184

Been doing the same thing on a Yahoogroup.  After I find stuff. I add it to the link area.
Look under "AirNav Live RADAR - REAL-TIME websites" for the links that listed so far.
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/radarboxsocal/links

Another option would be if AirNavSystem setup a Wiki. and could add stuff to it for other RadarBox users.
It works very well on RR where members of RR can edit the wiki :)

Someone's been busy...good work! :-)

Well it looks like you found my 'stuff' then Brian...although I don't recall you asking if you could post it there! ;^)

Also on your 'folder heirarchy' when I logon to the Yahoo Groups page link that you gave above that it says;

'AirNav Live RADAR - REAL-TIME websites
Live RadarBox ScreenShots - Updated every 5 Minutes '

In the case of my website (and others I suspect) although the 'live' data might be delayed by 5 minutes it is actually updated every 60 seconds! :-)

Thanks & regards,

Okay.  I changed it :) TKS for the tip.

Always nice to have all the links on 'one page' without looking in every forum threads :)

Just like in the database area of that group.   Nice to show others what aircraft has ADS-B :)
Since the group is more gear for United States users.

A wiki sounds like an intresting idea, we will think it over, only concern we see straight away is it will need a few people to look after it.

Cheers, Tarbat

I have copied your refresh text and applied to my site, seems to be OK now.

Thanks for the advice.
