Outline files

Hi all,

I would like to use/ create outline-files for the RadarBox. I tried some .out-files for the SBS-1, but they sometimes didn't work. Is there a format restriction in the AirNav Software? What fields/ comments/ instructions are allowed in the .out-files. Is there a source with definitions for those files?

Creating outline files with Jordan's Outline Maker worked btw.

It should work with all outlines. Can you send us the outlines you tried?

I think that your format for the file might be wrong:

This is part of your file, quickly altered to match the way that Bones does his.  This does draw the runway lines, although there are a couple of extra lines here.

Hi Allocator,

wow what a fast reply ;) You should join the AirNav Support ;)

The original file was created for SBS-1 and I think it might work with that box & software (although I have no SBS-1 and can not test it).
But it didn't work with AirNav RadarBox. That's why I asked for any available definitions of file structure (curly braces, remarks etc.), variables (like $TYPE) etc.

I only gave this a quick look before I left for work this morning, but I'm sure that it is worth looking at Bones' outline files to see what he's done.  I just wanted to see if altering your file a bit would at least draw some lines :-)

Bones has been very helpful to me in the past with SBS-1 stuff, so I'm sure he won't mind an email from you via his site asking for guidance.
