Is it possible to get airport outlines for my map ?
« on: March 08, 2009, 09:36:59 PM »
Hi, Also my map does not display the codes of the airports?
Just one more question, I lose aircraft at around 9000 ft going into Bournemouth airport (40 miles away) from my standard twig antenna, is this because my antenna is too low?
I have a external one going up on tues with a 12ft pole, is this going to help with this?, and mayby get some landings!?.

Thanks
John

Hi John

For airport codes (and names and boxes) on the map, use the menu: Map...Aviation Signs...Station Labels. There is also an Aviation Signs button on the toolbar.

The aerials are line-of-sight, so the higher the better to get a view downwards. If you can see the runway from where the aerial will be (on a clear day!), then it will see the runway too.

Hope that helps.

EDIT - in answer to your headline question, you are aware of the Outlines thread on the forum, aren't you?
