Quick Filter lack of aircraft types
« on: March 02, 2009, 07:36:36 PM »
Is anyone noticing that not all aircraft types are populating the quick filter. Today I had a RAF L1011 flyover and I tried to find it using the quick filter, however there was no L101 there. By guessing the altitude I found it on my flights  list as a L101. I was told that all aircraft  types picked up on my flights would populate the quick filter list. Would it not be easier if one could just write the type in as well as scrolling through a list which is not complete?

Tommy,

You just type in what you want:

Aircraft = B73*

Aircraft = A34*

Aircraft = L101*

works a treat :-)

Thanks Allocator.

Still cant understand why the quick list doesn't populate or is it a bug that needs a fix?
Had a B74L fly over as well today and that was wasn't showing either.

Tommy,

I'm not sure what you mean by the Quick List populating.  Why do you need it to do that when you can find any aircraft type yo need by typing it in?

To find your B74L, you only need to type B74* into the quick List and it will find all types of B747.

What exactly are you trying to do, there might be another way to get what you need.

For example, if you use Mode S = 43C* then you will show only Brit Mil aircraft in the list.

You can use all the same wildcard filters in MyLog too.
