Saving Changes
« on: February 16, 2009, 01:33:55 PM »
Hi All,

I change various items on the Map, etc., to make it easier for me to pick stuff out.
Foe Example, changing Airports outlines to pale grey shows them up better, and changing the altitudes to filter out stuff close to landing.
However, I cannot then see how to save these changes - I always use File_Exit to close down, but the next time I open up, all my changes have gone.
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Map  - Open/Save Map  - Save Map   or Save map As

Use a new name if saving AS.
Based in Hexham - Tyne Valley
Best view for RB is North of a line between EGNT and EGNC  - includes OTA and Spade, to EGPH above 7500ft.   Can be TRUE mobile with Mobile Broadband feed to Network.

Sorry - back again; didn't work.
Saved as default, Default2, Home2, but after a File_Exit and starting it back up again, everything is as it was.

Do I therefore have a software glitch of some sort ?

Hi dl1812

I have a similar problem. I use Vista 32 if that means anything. But I make my changes and save them in the way described above.
When I launch the program again it SOMETIMES comes on with my changes,  or more often than not, comes on with the default colours.
I then just go into map colours and re load my default map. I have tried using a different map names and overwriting the default.
It makes no difference. For me, it is not the end of the world. I can live with it, I just put it down to a vista thing.

I have the same problem, and I'm on XP.

AirNav know about the problem, but, as you say it's something we can live with - just a niggle.

I'm running XP on my Company Laptop, and Vista on my Home Laptop, and it seems to be the same for both.

I'm just grateful that it's it's not me !

Thanks for that, Gentlemen - it can be lived with.

Thanks to All

I suspect there may be a problem with the registry permissions for the settings used by Radarbox.  Anyway, I think you can check to see which map and map colours Radarbox will use when it starts.  In the Windows registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AirNav Systems\ANRB\1\General\MapColorpath is the default map colour file.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AirNav Systems\ANRB\1\History\map1 is the default map.

Oh well. Thats good news at least I cant blame Vista for this niggle.
I am still impressed, almost one year on now. I am currently tracking 171 flights with 439 msg / Sec.
