We are back Online
« on: January 23, 2009, 01:44:28 AM »
To all our users

As you may have noticed we have experienced a total outage of our main server during the last 48 hours. As our support previously explained we had been experiencing problems with our old server for the last 3 weeks. We were preparing everything to make a smooth change to the new server but, unfortunately, the old server crashed completely earlier this week.

We have had our tech team working H24 to restore, one by one, the more than 40 services we have running on our main server and we were able to have the network features (for both AirNav Live Flight Tracker and RadarBox) running 24 hours after the crash. After that is was the web site, email server, several backup configurations, etc.

Again thanks for all your patience with this issue. We will do our best to have all our company services running normally as soon as possible.

Well done Guys, and thanks for your efforts.

Sometimes it's only when you don't have something that you realise how much you use and rely on it....

Keep up the excellent work

Tks a lot for all your support. We are still working on server updates and how to optimize several tasks. Work should only be finished in 5 days.

As a curiosity below the stats for RadarBox Network last week, when we changed our server. The good news is that everything is back to normal now with some minor exceptions, still to be corrected. The new server is performing as expected with 100% uptime stats.

AirNav, I can only echo Philip's comments, but may I make an unbiased  suggestion (it doesn't affect me, as I haven't started my network subscription yet) : as a gesture of good faith and by way of apology for the outage, increase all subscriptions that were running at 18/01/09 by a week before renewal is due.

ANRB :  AOR AR8000 : Icom R-7000 : Icom IC-R9000 : JRC NRD-545 : OptoElectronics Digital Scout and OptoLinx Interface; Realistic Pro-2005 : UBC 800XLT - listed in alphabetical order, not cost, preference, performance or entertainment value!
