D012.DAT FILE
« on: January 15, 2009, 11:46:51 AM »
I am trying to access the data in the D012.DAT file to do a comparison as shown in the thread below.

http://www.airnavsystems.com/forum/index.php?topic=1302.45

I have a slight problem in that when I go into the Data folder in RB2009 there is no sign of that file.

I can locate it no problem in 2008 and having pasted the '08 data into Tarbats spreadsheet it appears to show the current polar diagram in RB2009 (still with me ;-)

Can I do any harm if I copy that file into the data folder of my 2009 version.

Cheers,

Bob

Are you running Vista?  If so, it's probably in the Virtual Store.

We really need a sticky thread for the Vista Virtual Store.  The Airnav bit of the Virtual Store is located at:
C:\Users\xxxxxxxx\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\AirNav Systems

Where xxxxxxxx is your Vista logonid.

The Virtual Store, which Vista uses whenever a program attempts to write to files in the C:\Program Files area, is located at:
C:\Users\xxxxxxxx\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\

My advise to anyone installing Radarbox on a Vista PC is to NOT use the default installation, but use something like C:\AirNav Systems, and so avoid all the Virtual Store complications.

Thats what I did on the laptop used  C:Airnav Systems and I've had no trouble accessing files or folders.  Lot simpler than trying to use virtual stores when you're not used to computers.
