Newbie - wanna get it right
« on: December 28, 2008, 02:15:43 PM »
Hi all

Just got my box and want to update to 2009 straight away.

Haven't done anything except open box so far. Can anyone tell me the correct way of updating to 2009, do I follow instructions and load cd in box etc or do I have to do something else.

Don't want to mess it up before I even start!!

My system is XP.

Regards

Hi there!

Does your RadarBox packaging have a RadarBox 2009 sticker on it?  If so, then you will have the latest version of the software on the CD.

It's no problem if you do install an earlier version anyway, as 2009 goes into a new directory.  Whatever you do, install the software before you plug your Radarbox hardware into your PC to make sure you get the right drivers installed.

After that how do I upgrade to 2009?

Thanks for your help.

No,

Download the full version of the RB 2009 software from this page:

http://www.airnavsystems.com/RadarBox/support.html

The direct link is here.

http://www.airnavsystems.com/download/anrb/anrb20setup.exe

Don't use the Upgrade version, as this is only for people who want to copy data across from earlier versions.

Run the anrbsetup.exe before you plug in your Radarbox.

When you do plug in RadarBox and you get the "found New Hardware" message, you need to browse to the AirNav RadarBox 2009/Drivers directory and install the drivers from here.

See the on-line help file here:

http://www.airnavsystems.com/radarbox/help/

Look at the Getting Started > Installation section.

The screen shots show the directory as being RadarBox 2007, but the directory will actually be 2009.
