Question on elements of RB screen display.
« on: November 27, 2008, 06:34:39 PM »
I've looked through the documentation and cannot find the answer to the following questions about information displayed:

1. What does the number in brackets after Msgs/Sec indicate?

2. What do the characters 0FT indicate after the Lat and Long below the map?

I don't know what the number in brackets is.

The 0ft below the map is the height of the land at the cusor position.  Move the cursor over some mountains and you'll see it go to 1000ft, 2000ft.  It's VERY innacurate.

The number between brackets is the number of msgs worked by the application per second (there is a compressing routine to optimize CPU where similar messages are worked only 1 time).

It never changes from 0FT, even over the Alps and other European Mountains.

Many thanks for the explanation.

Try to turn on the Elevation/Sea Depth layer on the maps menu.
