I see Placemark11 is in the middle of the North Sea. For some reason, I hadn't reckoned on RadarBoxes on oil rigs!

Excellent stuff!

I see the oil rig sank - ah well! Perhaps one day we'll get one there!

Brilliant.  Deadcalm is on board.

Airnav,  with everyone's co-operation, potentially better than YOUR user map !!  How about making this a sticky thread, so it's always at the top?

This is all great fun, and very interesting, and I've never played with a collaborative map before, but let's remember that it doesn't show who is actually online, and it only shows us active forum members - there are probably lots of RB users who wouldn't mind sharing their approximate location but who never take part in the forum.

I still think the proper solution lies in AirNav's hands.

I'm fairly isolated in my neck of the woods, and would love to know if there's a possibility of continuous coverage between me and, say, the UK or central Spain.  It would be useful to know if there were RB users elsewhere in France, regardless of whether or not they are on line.  Relying on IP details just doesn't cut it.

So this a good idea.  And maybe Airnav could consider sending an E mail to all RB owners (if they have their addresses, of course!) to specifically remind everyone that this forum exists, and encourage them to participate?

Rod, I agree.  Although in the short term, it's probably the best we can do, given Airnav's concerns about the privacy of their customers.

I have saved the KLM file from the map, so I can use it in Google Earth.

Very impressed within Google Earth - shows user name too.

added my location, seems i'm the only in Belgium so far, but i know of a couple of other RB users here, i'll try to contact them.
for the moment i have a very limited reception with the indoor antenna ; depending wich room i'm in, i get trafic from northern Belgium, western Germany and Netherland up to Schiphol when i'm in the north faced room,
or when i'm in the southers faced room i get southern Belgium, Luxemburg and northern France past Charles de Gaule.
of-course, most of them are high flights, FL250 +
when i'm in the "north room" i can get trafic at Brussels ( EBBR ) from aprox 1400ft
hope to improve this early next year by installing a outdoor antenna.
