Have I missed something here, my location is not on either map, should we have told someone our location or was all the info taken from the first map - the one that was messed up.

Andy, it's taken from the City/Country data you've setup in Radarbox.  Preferences>Home Station Data.

Ok mate, so it is what I entered in preferances part of the software - I will take a look, I am sure I put Dereham in there.

Maybe Google Maps is having problems understanding the England UK bit.  Try just England, or UK.  And you must have sharing turned ON, and it takes 10-15 minutes for your location to appear on the map.

I have City=Portmahomack Country=Scotland, and mine's showing okay on the map.

Airnav support, there's still a lot of BLUE pins on the map.  Any idea which Cities/Countries are causing the problems?

Mainly the following causes the blues,

1.) Customers enter Near Heathrow or Near London which google does not like.
2.) They don't enter anything
3.) They mask there location i.e (town = "I am not telling you")
4.) Google finds two towns of the same name in the UK and returns nothing.
5.) Google times out looking for it

Yes, Google Maps doesn't seem as good at resolving place names as http://www.batchgeocode.com/ is.

I see Dereham is on the page, as:
geoStuff('Dereham','England',52.0333,-0.85);

It seems very hit and miss - I just looked and there nothing near Dereham at all.
When I looked a little while ago there was a pin near Kings Lynn - But when I looked this it was not there - strange

Its the google service as explained before if its too busy it will ignore the look up request and we then use the IP location.

Airnav, the map at http://www.airnavsystems.com/radarbox/network.php now seems very reliable, with very few BLUE pins at all - excellent.  I see also that the reception circles are different sizes for some pins - intrigueing:

The map at http://www.airnavsystems.com/RadarBox/network2.php still has lots of BLUE pins though.

They both have the same code except for the circles. Its depends on googles mood for the lookup.

The circles are different not because of range of each station but because the world map means areas closer to the north look bigger.

Don't see a pin on Kingston, Ontario, Canada - have been sharing for a while - feel free to add one - whoever does that at AirNav.

I'd be interested in knowing my neighbours (ON, NY, QC) if there is a way of doing that?

Cheers
Neil
