Happy again
« on: November 16, 2008, 06:26:41 PM »
Hello all.
Sometime ago I had a problem with my Wimo aerial filling with water.
I returned the aerial to Wimo they have now replaced the aerial with a new one. Many thanks to Wimo, I really do appreciate it.

It has made a staggering difference to my set up. See here for latest image and range...

I am really impressed with the kit. Although not cheap well worth the outlay in my opinion and once again thanks to Wimo. A nice company to deal with.

Great coverage - your Lancashire hill must be higher than my Lancashire hill!

Hi Rod
Yes its great now. To the north not so good as I am only half way up the pennines, about 650ft ASL. But to the south is fantastic. Not so good in storms though. I am about 2 miles down the road from "Owd Betts" if you know it.

Yes, Wimo are good - they really excelled in replacing my faulty pre-amp.  I'd recommend their kit any day.

Hi, great screen shot and coverage - can you advise the model number of the aerial, the cost and how to source one please?

Many thanks

Hi Tramline

The aerial, pre amp and bias T unit complete with low loss cables and connectors all cam from Wimo in Germany.
I am not so sure of the price now as the pound to euro exchange rate has changed in recent days.
Here is the URL, http://www.wimo.de/framesetp_e.html  you need to scroll down the page to see the aerial and pre amp.

Hope this helps. I have to add it is worth the expense if you can justify it!
