Network Questions for AirNav
« on: October 31, 2008, 01:07:25 AM »
Just to help us understand how it works, could AirNav please clarify the following questions?

1 Assuming “Share Flight Data” is turned on, if I turn off network flights, am I still contributing MyFlights to the network?

2 Assuming “Share Flight Data” is turned on, if I turn off MyFlights, am I still contributing MyFlights to the network?

3 Assuming “Share Flight Data” is turned on, if my network subscription expires, will I still be contributing MyFlights to the network?

4 If my network subscription expires, will I still get my NavData.db3 autopopulated?

5 If my network subscription expires, will I still get route info and photos via AirNav?

Here's my best guess, lets see if I can get all the right answers :-)

1. Yes, because only your live traffic is sent to the network

2. No, due to answer 1?

3. Yes, no sibscription only means that you can't see the Network traffic

4. Yes

5. Yes

So, marks out of 5?

Excellent work, Allocator!

And thanks to AirNav as well. The only answer that vaguely surprised me was No 2. I thought it might still be processing and sending the hardware info even though it isn't displaying it.

Still, now I know better!

Thanks, guys

However, I'm still learning!

AirNav support, another good one for FAQ, I'd been wondering about several points, but didn't like to ask, as Chris Tarrant says so often, any question is easy if you no the answer.
