I use INS/GPS every time I go to work so have seen it from the pointy end

B744, even if you work on the flight deck you should trust that there are people around who know about the wiring of the transponders in the compartment below you. There are certain aircraft types from major airlines where the IRS (sic) is a hardwired source to the transponder and a GPS or DME/DME update is inhibited. For PFD map use and FMC the IRS is overridden at all times by GPS or DME/DME. This is a configuration/engineering subject and it does exist. Forget about any conspirency about faulty Mode-S receivers, this has been proven by Eurocontrol (they have amonthly report on this) etc...

Albeit this is not know not on your B744, but these do produce incorrect and changing flight IDs...

Hi DaveG,

There is a option to turn off Photo Downloads, however most people have it on and hence why we want it to be rectified.

Rest assured we are nearly there for the release.
