@FFM

Hello FFM , may I kindly ask you a question?:

Is the relationship between "FFM" and "EDDF" similar to that of "CGN" and "EDDK"? (The latter  an airport close to where I live !)

If the answer is Yes, have you checked Virtual-Radar.de ?

Kind regards,

Karl

Hi all,

finally I got mine and now testing ;) First Look: Great Hard- & Software, very plug & pray, but still (rather) buggy (crashing after 3 hours, range alert does not work, A/Cs off position or "jumping" etc.) may be my fault, still evaluating. Also waiting for the next beta.

Has anyone tried the Range Alert? Doesn't work with me now. Any suggestions?

Markus,

The range alert does work, but the Lat/Lon boxes are labeled incorrectly!

Try putting the Lat in the Lon box and vice versa.  There is another bug with this fuction too, you don't just get one alert when an aircraft enters the zone, you keep getting alerts until the aircraft leaves the zone.  If you have the alert sound selected, RB bleeps like a thing possessed.  I've reported both of these the AirNav, so hopefully they will be fixed in the new release.

Hi Allocator,

thx for your fast response. Now it works! But I agree, one alarm would be sufficient ;)

Hi HH,

You mention A/Cs off position or "jumping". Some aircraft may have ADS-B units which are not running off GPS and hence sometimes lead to positions which are not correct.

The jumping you mention, thats probally related to network flights which update every 30 seconds.

Latest Patch 1 beta 2 news: all the tests are finished but we still have some problems with the photo download routine which causes the entire application to crash after 2 to 3 hours running. We are correcting and testing this and as soon as it is ready the new patch will be out.

Hi there,

the A/Cs which are jumping are not network flights. Until now its mostly planes approaching the airport (in low altitudes). Maybe its due to a weak/ lost ADS-B/ Mode-S-signal? By the way: where should the A/Cs get their position w/o getting it from GPS?

For example: An approaching aircraft should be on the final (it better should ;) ) but its somewhere in the vicinity of the final (sometimes miles away). Eventually it gets back to its real position.

Another distracting thing are "phantom signals". Planes that have already landed are still shown on the map (occasionallly) mostly with high altitudes/ FL on their label.

Appreciate your good work even if it is still buggy,

Markus

Helllo Airnav Team,

Did you also improve the hardware FTDI interface which is not working on some PC / Laptop? My support ticket is still open and unresolved...

Thanks,
FFM

Hello HH,

If you lower the value for "lost signal flights", these planes should disappear according to the time specified.
