Installation Problems
« on: October 24, 2008, 11:51:38 AM »
Help!
I have now been trying to install ANRB on my PC for 2 days without success (or any useful help from the support centre. I am running a vista PC, I can get as far as putting my location details into the system but the hardware will not connect. I have tried running as an admin (as was suggested to me) but that hasn't worked. I have restored my system to earlier this week before I purchased the software & then tried to reinstall but that didn't help either. It seems the problem is with not having the correct driver & I get a code '39' message. It tells me that the driver lacks a valid digital signature.
The software works as I loaded it onto my work laptop (running XP) with no problem.
Has anyone else experienced this difficulty- I am extremely frustrated with this, not least because I cannot speak to any 'experts' on the phone!
I would be enormously grateful to anyone who could help me!
Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave,

Just read through your tickets and you missed some very important items in tickets which would have let to confusion. You never mentioned that the driver lacks a valid signature. You kept saying it had installed and that it said you had the latest version.

Please go to the link below and try and update to the drivers that you download:

Download and extract it to a folder. Then go to device manager find RadarBox click update driver and point it to the folder that you have extracted your files too. That should install those drivers.

The Radarbox drivers are NOT digitally signed, so you just have to accept the unsigned drivers.  Once the drivers are correctly installed, you should see this in Device Manager.

You are running a 32-bit version of Vista?  AFAIK, 64-bit Vista doesn't allow unsigned drivers.

Thanks for your response- this is getting really frustrating. I am getting the same screen as your JPEG. How can I tell if I am running a 32 or 64 bit. If it is 64 would that be my problem?
Really appreciate your help!

Hello Again, I have followed the instructions on the link but still have the same issues. Do I need to uninstall ANRB & then re-install?
I'm really hoping I'm close to a cure!

Sorry, you'll need the advise of someone running Vista 64-bit, or Airnav Support.

My guess is that you'll need to re-boot, and maybe re-install the drivers.

Is that the '2009' version? Are you running 64 or 32 bit vista?
