acars+adbs+mode-S
« on: August 05, 2007, 10:00:46 AM »
I would like to know if all the messages received from these 3 diferent sources are decoded and mixed to get a postion or information. Example, an aircraft departing from an airport sends acars message to door close or start moving out but no adbs or mode-s is activated jet. Can the RadarBox plot the position of this aircraft?

Sorry for the late reply first.

RadarBox 2007 does not plot the positions of aircraft which broadcast there position of ACARS. Furthermore acars position meesages do not occur very often and rarely for examples you given.

More often ACARS messages contain past flight route information or past plots in the last 5 minutes.
