Merging logs
« on: October 19, 2008, 08:30:57 PM »
Hi all,

I received my RadarBox on Friday and had it up and running in minutes. To say I'm very impressed with its performance and capabilities is an understatement.

I have the program running on both my desktop and my laptop and I took my laptop and RB out in the field with a group on Saturday.

My question is; how can I merge the log from the laptop with the desktop one?

Hi Tom and welcome to the forum!

There isn't an easy way to merge the databases I'm afraid.  There are 2 databases:

- NavData.db3 - this is the source database that is autopopulated when you are connected to  the Internet.

- MyLog.db3 - this is the record of what you have picked up with your antenna.

I tend to copy the NavData.db3 from my desktop to the laptop so I get the aircraft details when I'm not connected to the Internet

You could keep the latest MyLog.db3 on a USB memory stick and copy this to the PC you are using - too much trouble for me I'm afraid as I'm not that fanatical about the aircraft I've picked up.

Hi Allocator,

Many thanks for your welcome and your instant reply.

Your suggestion of using a memory stick to transfer the latest MyLog.db3 between machines is excellent.

Regards,

Tom
